Once Upon a Wednesday Join us for a special themed monthly story time with stories, songs, rhymes, and activities on the second Wednesday of each month. Email us for the video link. Shelbylib@libcoop.net
Little Bears: Watch our videos on Facebook or our website, sharing short stories, songs, rhymes, and movement activities for children under 3 and their caregivers. No registration required, and if you miss a scheduled video you can always go back and watch it later on Shelby TV Kid’s YouTube page. Click playlists and then story time at the library. New videos are posted on the third Friday of each month.
The Shelby Township Library hosts a variety of story times for young children. Story times are held during the school year with registration for the fall session opening on the first open Saturday in September and registration for the winter session opening on the first Saturday in January.
Toddler Tales
Stories, songs and early literacy activities for toddlers ages 2-3 ½ years old and their caregivers. Advance registration is required for this story program series. This program is held on Tuesdays.
Preschool Pages
Stories, songs, and activities for preschoolers aged 3 1/2 – five years old. Caregivers are welcome to participate in the program or browse the library, returning to help with the craft project during the last 5 minutes. Ages 3 ½ – 5 years. Advance registration is required for this story program series. This program is held is on Wednesdays.
Baby Bears
You’re never too young for a story! This program offers early literacy fun for children under 2 years old with a caregiver. Drop in for short stories, songs, lap bounces, and playtime.
Select Fridays 10-10:30 am.
Jammies and Books
This story time offers creative fun for everyone. Drop in for stories, songs, and activities for the whole family. Wearing pajamas is welcomed. This program is designed for families with children ages two and up. Select Thursdays 6:30-7:15 pm
